i have to put a sticker on my bumper.what do you guys think?

so SDSU is making me put a sticker (the parking permit) on my bumper.

i was thinking i could stick the sticker on a small piece of 3m clear bra..and then stick the clear bra on the bumper..

if ive read correctly, clear bras are suppose to come off fairly easily right?

thanks

There's no way you can get a hang tag? I pay some extra money for the hang tag at UCF. If not, then your idea sounds fine.

In Hawaii They Have to Put on a Vehicle Inspection Tag on their Bumper also....... I've Seen Some people Screw on a Piece of Plastic on the Underside of their Rear Bumper and Attaching the Sticker to that.... Personally I DON'T Like Clear Bras.......

nah they dont offer tags - bummer, huh?

would the sticker come off the windshield easily?

NismoV35, i dont quite understand what youre saying

oh and i wouldnt get a clear bra. well id find a scrap piece of clear bra, cut it out to the approx size of my sticker, stick the sticker on the clear bra, and stick the clear bra on the bumper so you shouldnt be able to see it if i do it right
^^does that make sense?

yeah...the windshield is better..trust me you dont want all that goooey thing on the paint when you peel it off...and on the windshield, you just take a sharp knife and srape it off; very simple and nothing is wrong with the look
hope this helps

is the sticker see through clear or is it a solid color, if its a solid color you could always put it on top of vinyl

I went to SDSU and all you have to do is place it on your dashboard. I never got a ticket or anything so you should be all right.

Just put on ur windshield, I don't go there or live around there so I don't know the rules, but I believe there are no such rules that you have to stick any sticker on your bumper. :-)

If you absolutely have to put it on your bumper, I would buy a clear LCD screen protector for say, a PlayStation Portable, (Wal-Mart has them) and cut it to just slightly larger than the decal itself. It would come off easily and be almost invisible.

You can also run it through a machine that laminates the front and makes the back magnetic. I have a friend who does that with political bumper stickers so she isn't stuck with election year stickers on her bumper. If you know any girls who scrapbook (ya I'm a total mom heh) then ask them if they have a setup that will do it - if not you can try Kinkos, etc.

Make sure you dont put it on a window that has tint on it, thats what i did, and when a d!ck head security guard at my school decided to revoke my sticker for pulling into the parking lot too fast, he ripped the tint right off the window
Also the schools that give you things to hang on your mirrors, you can get a ticket for, a cop yesterday made me pull one of those tree air fresheners off or my mirror.

I think using ClearBra as a mounting surface is about the best idea yet, short of being able to hang it from the mirror. It would suck to have a sticker on there all the time, but if there's no way around it then at least the 3M protects the paint and make removal easy.
