has anyone seen a CF hood color matched to the car, but still able to see the weave pattern up close. any ideas on what this involves or if it would cost more than just having a hood painted. better yet has anyone tried this on an IP coupe? any help appreciated.

If you get the CF hood, you gotta change the silver grill. Its gonna clash because the silver grill is more luxurious rather than sporty. The CF makes the car looks alot sportier

i like the CF against IP as well, but saw a silver bimmer the other day that had his hood matched where you can still see the weave in it. Looks amazing in person. It's the subtle details like that i can really appreciate, especially if you aren't rocking any other CF pieces it kinda looks out of place.

I've had my ts carbon hood well over a year now, and its turning yellowish due to exposure of sun..since i do live in Florida. Since i just received my ts front bumper on Friday, my black coupe will be going in the shop this coming week to have the front painted...so i now decided that i might as well paint my cf hood.

However, I want the carbon weaves to still be visible, but i've never seen a carbon hood painted black that still has the weaves visible. Ive seen other colors, but not black (since after all, carbon is black). My guess is they'll just throw a black pearl over it to bring back the color of the carbon hood.

why? you dont need rain guards. The ONLY downside to a vented hood is that your engine bay will get dirtier. You have nothing to worry about.

I have all Seibon hoods in stock anyone interested
