So guys going back to the subject can you paint the CF hoods to match the exterior color? Concidering i have a DG coupe and im not trying to attract attention but i am trying to even outthe weight distribution.

yep, all seibon parts are easily painted...just like a fiberglass hood. PM me if you decide to order.

today i went to my painter and he said he could paint my CF hood too match the car but it'll come out ****ty so he doesnt recommend it. Is this true? is it hard to paint a cf hood?

Hell no. It's just as easy as painting fiberglass or metal. He's trippin. Take it somewhere else.

In my opinion..it actually looks cleaner! If he told u it would look ****ty, thats probably b/c he's never painted a carbon hood and wouldnt know how it would come out, or maybe its just his own opinion that a painted carbon hood looks ugly.

My guy is painting mine...he told me that seibon uses a low quality uv clear, and is why my hood looks yellowish, but said that he can reclear mine if i wanted, or paint it black w/ the carbon weives still visible. Hopefully ill get my car in soon once i figure out what other car i can use in the meantime...then when its done ill have pics!

duct tape it off or mold your own rain guards.

but theres no need to block off the vents unless youre really **** about keeping your engine bay clean.

Duct tape doesn't work too well with water. For people with SC's, its going to be a mess with water.
