Paint rear bumper near exhaust?

I'm thinking of painting the rear bumper near the exhaust (see attached pictures with photoshopped paint job). Can anyone who's done this tell me:

- How they did it?
- Did you DIY?
- Did you have to remove the bumper?
- If you took it to a shop, how much did it cost?
- Did they have to take off the bumper?

Thanks!

Awesome! Thanks for all the replies! Looks like gettting a diffuser and painting it's the way to go.

I also painted my KarumaZ diffuser satin-black (on IP). Satin-black matches nicely with the other plastic/rubber trim fund on the car, for an OEM look.

That looks so sick. Do you think it would look good with black splash guards to match?
