why spend money and time on replacing the glass and motors? just leave it as it is and do not tinker with the sunroof buttons. simple as pie~

... just pull the shade closed... unless you are building some crazy track car, you wont notice the difference in weight if you remove it. Plus putting aluminum or CF there would be really tacky...

If you're thinking of resale value, and thats all you have in mind for future mods, it doesnt look like you're going to be serious about tracking your car. So whats the point of shaving weight? If this is for looks, then just paint your sunroof to match your car. Whats the point???????????
