Moon\Sun Roof insert(CF or ALUM)
First of all if I could've found a midnight blue without a sunroof I would have. I've had cars with sunroofs before and never used them. I hate the sun.
So basically I would be willing to buy an insert to fill the sunroof gap, so that I could take out the motors and glass. It would be nice to have an insert that was made of CF, or an otherwise light material for all of us that will never use the sunroof.
I don't want a permanent mod that will ruin the resale value, but instead a temporary mod that will keep a tight seal on rain and such. I assume this will require a sealant, most definately.
Lets hear what you guys have to say...

... just pull the shade closed... unless you are building some crazy track car, you wont notice the difference in weight if you remove it. Plus putting aluminum or CF there would be really tacky...

Sunroofs can weight up to 300 pounds. I don't ours are that much, but they are heavier then most people think. Overall I don't think its worth it to take it out and seal it and then have to replace the motors and such for resale. For the money you will spend installing and taking out everything you could make up for the weight with power mods.

I could make an aluminum insert and seal it. That would cost $200 tops, if I messed up twice.
So what power mod lowers your center of gravity, decreases weight by 100 pounds and costs $200. None.

I don't want to buy a new headliner to make it look normal and have to worry about the paint and installation of a permanent solution
I want something to give my car an advantage without it being permanent.
