I've been thinking about getting one recently, and I've searched the forum a lot and never really came across an answer... but why do ppl have something against billet so much? I'm leaning toward getting it in the next few days; I dont see why people get those grills that are just empty... okay well thanks

i dunno....i guess most people think it's just plain ugly, except for you....

billets grills are just not my thing, they look "tacky" but thats my 2 cents

 

i think billet grills have just been labeled an SUV thing. seeing them on a car just looks out of place.

i think they look okay, with a few exceptions like mondo's car.. his looks pretty sick in those pix

 

It's your call.... if you like it, it's all good...

But for me, back 10 years ago, ricer honda civics put Billet Grills on their rides. So for me, style wise, it's a no go.

Even when I went to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, majoring Transportation Design, nobody put billet grills on any of their car designs... and that was over 10 years ago.







Sorry.... IMO, just plain ghetto....

There is nothing wrong w/a billet grille. Like others have said, if you like it, do it. It's your car, not the owners that are on this forum so who gives a f**k what they think.

Food for thought, some of the same people who flame billet grilles put ricer bodykits and skyline badging on, go figure.

 

^^thats subjective (as is the billet grille). what you may think is ricey may look classy to others. and vice versa, most of us hate the billet grille and think it looks ghetto, but some think its cool.

Exactly my point so I don't see the difference between what you and I posted. Eveyone has their own subjective opinion and we all know what opinions are like. Some just stink worse than others.
