Need advice - front bumper not too low

OK - here 's the scoop.

I've got an 05 IP Coupe = Vortech and aftercooler. I have the Impul kit on the car and love it, but the car is slammed and the front bumper is just too low and totally beat to $hit now.

I need a bumper that's closer to stock in height, but open in the front for the cooler...I know the Impul is not completely open, but didn't have the SC at the time it was all put on the car.

So - open for suggestions and pix please.

Thanks!!!

Rick

hmm...greddy would be too low...

kuruma z would look amazing with the rest of the impul kit. but i think you might have some clearance issues with that...

the stillen bumper wil get the job done. i hear it sits higher than the stock bumper! but i don't like it all that much...

hmm...well...kuruma z gets my vote!!!!

+1 on the Kuruma Z but like Cal said, you might have the same problem you had with the Impul.

Check out the Kenstyle and TopSecret kits...although those might be too low too

hmmm...the Karuma looks great..but from pix on Z1 Motorsports site - looks low too. Stillen is ugly garbage as far as I'm concerned too.

The KS is supposedly the same as the Impul - and I love it...but it will get destroyed on my car...it's got a 2 1/2" drop...so most everything will be low...but I really only need about 1" higher to be safe...

kuruma z woud be your best bet.. aside from that.. iono

if you have troubles with impul you're going to get the same results with Kenstyle &Top Secret

there is no replica kuruma z (i wish there was...hint hint eric...!)

it's only made in poly

600 + about 100 for shipping

as far as i know you can only get it from conceptzperformance and z1motorsports but supposedly everyone is out of stock right now and the new mold will be coming out shortly (better fitment)

Very cool and thanks for the news...I'm not a big replica buyer anyway, and better fitment is a plus!!

Any idea about timing of that new version? should I call one of places you mentioned, or elswhere?

I believe Z1 might still have some in stock as I shipped some to as mentioned in a previous post.
btw, kuruma z says there was nothing wrong with the mold. but i've seen lot of pictures of this bumper and have yet to see one with 100% fitment. there always seems to be a gap where the bumper meets the fender on the passenger side. perhaps this is a result of poor installation? who knows...

I have TS, it's pretty much the same height as stock with the lip. Only thing is it sticks out in the front a little more than stock, so you might still have to watch those driveways/entrances. Don't know how it would look with Impul but i'm sure it will look sweet. Plus, the TS has a HUGE opening for the cooler. I'm just a wannabe poser in my TS non-turboed G!!

there's only four front bumpers that i know of with big opening: greddy, stillen, topsecret, and kurumaz. greddy is out of the question, i have that on right now and it's LOW with my drop! stillen is ugly IMHO. as for the ts and karumaz, not sure but both looks higher than the others.

i'm actually deciding between the impul and the kenstyle myself hoping that they are a little higher than my greddy.

ts or karumaz is your best bet.
