I just got fix-it ticket for not having front license plate.. So I was thinking of getting one of these.. http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=3476. But it's not showing 06.. And i was wondering if 06 Coupe Tow hook is same as 05 ones (22mm).. Thanks..

Go to the Stllen website. They have a template that you can print out. You just have to compare your towhook with the "real size" template.

 

i couldn't imagine any reason why infiniti would change the tow hook size. i would almost guarantee that it is the same size.

 

Thanks guys.. Yeah.. I don't really understand why they would change the size.. But.. When I search the tow hook on the factory parts site it shows that 06-07 and 03-05 seperately.. Mine is 24mm and I have 06'.. Just for other people if they needed..

 

Yea I had a similar problem.. It should fit the 06. I couldn't get that because the Topsecret bumper is a long nose bumper and It wouldn't be long enough...

I'm actually working out a solution as we speak... Requires drilling into my bumper =(... But it should be good..

 

Pretty sure they changed the tow hook size in '06. I have the Stillen mount and,
IIRC, it's 24mm or 25mm.

 

Does the stillen kit do anything to scratch the front bumper? Or rather... is there enough spacing between the plates itself and the bumper where wind pressure won't push the plates up against the bumper and thereby ruining it?

 

Actually, the post that threads into the tow hook hole has threads that extend too far up the post. If you thread it as far as it will go, it will scrape the bumper. If you don't screw it in all the way, it's fine.

 

Thanks guys.. It kinda sucked that I got ticket.. I knew I was going to get a ticket too cause when I passed the cop (he was stuck behind the slow traffic) I could see two cops looking at my rear end of my car and talking abotu something and keep looking at it.. And he comes behind me and pull me over.. HAHA.. But at least it's a fix-it ticket.. Oh.. And another question.. How does fix-it ticket works?? Do I just take it to the police station and they will check off my ticket?? And then do I take it to court?? Or can I send it through mail? Thanks again guys..
