lower valence on sedans
i dont know if this has been asked already .. my comps been down for some time .. but i was wondering if anyone knows how to get the lower valences painted to match the body color? i know the infiniti dealers sell the lower valences but i don't wanna spend 800 bux just to get them ... so if anyone knows please drop a line .. thanx

Nope. If you get the $2k+ body kit, the those pieces are body color and cover up the black plastic sills.
Any good body shop should be able to paint them to match. Probably around 500-600, though, for a good job, where they actually take the plastic parts off the car, paint them with color and clearcoat, and put them back on. You'd have to get an estimate from a local reputable shop, though, I'm just guessing. Check out the thread Pics-Sedan w/ 18" AT Italia wheels & painted sills in the Wheels and Suspension forum. TallG35 has pictures of his Garnet Fire sedan with painted sills.

The sills on the kit provide an aero look and cover up all the black arond the bottom of the car. You also get a cool front bumper and a not so cool rear bumper(I don't think it blends into the car well).

What's your dislike for the rear bumper?...Isnt it just the same bumper with a painted lower valence? I've literally seen the G35 once for about an hour...then I ordered it. I haven't even seen one on the road. So its driving me crazy. Particularly if I ordered something I may not like. I must say that I do like the front bumper and painted side sills over the black. I hope the rear doesn't bug me.
