Questions?? front bumper
I posted a thread on the 16th of May saying this lady backed into my front bumper and her insurance is going to pay! They came looked at it and handed me a check for $575 I think and said if it cost more have the body shop call us and we will give more!
So what I was thinking is buying a NISMO front (poly I guess idk) I had to ask my mom she said go for it so here I am its $500 shipped but I still need to pay for paint and installation should I have the body shop call the lady’s insurance saying they need more money so I can get the nismo or should I just stay stock because I don’t want to ask for more and the insurance go look and see what im trying to do
If I do get the nismo should it be poly or glass I scrape allot with the stock so I don’t plan to lower so witch can handle the scraping poly or glass?

thanks!!

the authentic nismo will cost you more than 1k installed and painted, and if you don't get a good replica, it will cost you a little under 1k installed and painted.
if you scrape a lot go with polyurethane, but if you get a bad fitting poly there's not much you can do you make it look right. nismo will also be lower than your stock sides with splashgaurds.
your best bet would to be the 06 sport bumper with a lip. my insurance only pays for oem parts, not aftermarket so make sure before you go spending money that they won't give back.

Insurance will cover
Stock Bumper.
+Material & labor the shop needs to provide.
Example:
Stock Bumper $300
Paint $300
Install $400
Total: $1,000.00
Your insurance company will write you a check
$1,000.00
- Deductible (lets just say $500)
=$500 (your check)

now if the aftermarket bumper you buy is $200.. and/if your adjust requests the buyer to present the reciept and they see your aftermarket bumper was only worth $200 then they'll debit your check
Your insurance company will write you a check
Stock Bumper $300
Aftermarket Bumper $200
Because it is cheaper then the amt that the OEM bumper is worth the insurance company is only going to pay $200
Aftermarket Bumper $200
Paint $300
Install $400
$900.00
-$500 Deductible
=$400 (your check)
