% tint on a BO coupe

Hey guys,

Ive been searching and viewing a lot of members cars but cant seem to make a decision

Im debating on 20% or 5% on my Black Osbian coupe

I spent a lot of time looking at the galley and media share but im having a tough time seeing any difference between black cars with the two different tints..

therefore, Im hoping you guys can give me your thoughts on which I should go with

as for the legal issue, both percents are illegal so dont have your vote swayed on which one will be safer in regards to getting pulled over

thanks a bunch guys and take care

so you're only tinting the quarter windows and rear?

I have %20 everywhere except the windshield and I think it's great. When you go to %5, you have issues being able to see your side mirrors. For that matter, it is tough seeing anything out of %5 windows at night. A friend of mine has %5 on a Dodge Ram, and he has to roll down his windows at night if he is backing up, driving in a tight area, etc. With %20, other drivers can only see your silhouette, and even that is only in bright conditions.

What color is your interior? If you have a black on black coupe I think you'll be happy with %20. With a lighter interior, you may want a darker tint. Maybe someone with a OB coupe with non-black interior could offer their opinion.

p.s. It's illegal here too

Your car would look sweet with 5%, but you may have a hard time seeing out of it at night. My dad had a car when I was in high school that had limo tint and I literally almost got hit one night. I saw a car coming and pulled out in front of it, thinking it was farther away than it was. Scary.
I have 20% on my coupe and it looks fine.

Tint......what percentage?

Yea right, 2% would get you stopped in an instant in my neighborhood/state!
Check what the law allows in your area/state.......normally if you can be seen
in your car they won't stop you for a tint violation. I have 35% and haven't
had any issues yet.

I got 28% on my BO coupe. If I were to do it again, I'd go a little darker. Go with the 20%.

I have black on black and opted for the 20%. It's already damn hard backing up with 20%, can't even image how it'd be with 5%. Having black interior will dramatically make your windows appear darker, especially at night.
