recalled 06 headlight..

ok, so i just bought a headlight off ebay, and someone told me it could be a recalled headlight...

wouldnt the person have to return the headlight to the dealer so they can dispose of it before getting new ones?

also, if i put them on my 04, which i havent yet, does anyone know for sure if i can or can not get them warrantied and replaced? or could i possibly just bring in the headlights alone to see if they can be replaced?

and fyi, i have been reading the tsb but can't get a straight answer of anyone actually getting them replaced when bought for a pre-06 model. i know pg 18 of the warranty booklet says all nissan parts etc, but i prefer to hear from an actual account

i checked teh guys history, and he's sold 2 other headlights, both this month.. and so far, the buyers left good feedback...

even if i kept them and theyre high, other than an annoyance to oncomming drivers, theyre not really defective right?

I installed a pair in my '03 coupe. A real improvement, IMO. As far as the aim goes, they appear to be spot on. No body coming toward me seems to have a problem, and the cut off is below any one's rear window in front of me. I bought mine from a forum member here before the market became saturated.

you can adjust them youself using a DIY for aiming your headlights.

i can almost guarantee you they are recalled headlights.

yes, that's why the headlights you have are illegal. they were suppose to be destroyed.

you can't get your recalled because you don't have projectors...it's only on certain 06+ headlights (projectors)...

adjust 'em...

very nice thread, thanks.. ill definitely use that when i get my 06's this thurs

i talked to the seller, he pulled them from car(s) that were rear-ended and considered totalled, but the front was untouched by damage.. so i figure theyre recalls, but atleast now i know they can be adjusted easily
