Ings+1 face duct mesh inserts

Hey guys,
I have a question about the Ings+1 front lip (face duct) metal mesh inserts. I noticed the mesh are slightly larger than the OEM mesh at the back of the face ducts.
It doesn't look like they'll just slide in without being cut. Must the OEM mesh be cut out for these to completely replace them? Or is there a way to attach them over top of the OEM mesh?
