window noise

i have an 06 g35 5At and when im driving over bumps i get a rattle. it sounds like it is coming from the driverside window in the top left hand corner. i have check everything in that conrner and nothing. is it possible for it to be something loose in the door and the sound traveling thru the window. any suggestions would be very helpfull.

thank you

is it a creak rather than a rattle?
i have this annoying creak that comes from the top corner of my driver's side window whenever i go over a bump. i took it back to the dealer and they tightened some bolts in the regulator or something which fixed it for a day. It's back again and it's driving me crazy!!!

Its happening in mine as well. Check the sedan forums. Evidently there was a recall/fix for some actuator bolts in the door. I spoke with a service guy and he said that he thought it was only a sedan problem but would be willing to do it on my coupe if I would like. I just have taken the time to take it up there yet. Might be worth looking into.

Are you sure it's not coming from the seat belt holder rubbing on the seat?

yup
when the window is down (even just a crack) there is no noise.

I'd love to hear about that sedan fix
if it works I'll do it myself.
when the dealership tightened my regulator bolts they didn't tighten the bolt that held the whole door together (at the bottom part of the handle) and now that rattles too. I'm too lazy to bring it back for that. figured I'll fix it myself one of these days.

It thought it was from my driver side window, too. Turns out it was my freakin' bottled water (on the door bottle holder) that was making the noise.

LOL!

check the bolt holding the bottom of the glass to the track. mine was loose in the front drivers side causing a little bit of rattling and the front edge of the window had a slight gap causing wind noise. I tightened up the bolt and it was cured.
