If you needed to have bumper and headlight replaced, would you go with 06 projectors?

I had a boo-boo this weekend and hurt my car....it was like loosing a family member--seriously.

I know that I am going to be needing a new bumper, chin spoiler, lots of plastic parts, a fender, a camber arm and passenger headlight.

My thoughts are that I should take the difference in money that the replacement 04 headlight would be and apply that to get the 06's.

Would you do this?

And, are the OEM bulbs in the 06 lights "good enough" or do you have to go aftermarket to really make them look good?

Thanks for the opinions.

Go for the 06. I swapped my old 03 headlights out and it's a world of difference. I left the HIDs the same and put in Luminics JDM yellow fogs. My old lights pale in comparison.

The 06 projectors look great with the standard 4200K bulbs.

Insurance should pay you list price for whatever parts were damaged. What I did was I took the $ they gave me for one replacement '03 headlight housing (almost $700) and bought a set of recall '06 lights off ebay for $250 shipped.

The 06 sport bumper cover is the same price as any other coupe bumper cover.

The 06 headlight housings, from the dealer, are actually a few dollars cheaper than the 03-05 housings.

get an estimated price from dealership to repair the bumper and headlight(it would be very pricey).
use this quote to get the money from insurance company, then get the bumper and headlight off ebay or someone on this forum. you will have some more $$$ left.

Sweet. Thanks for the responses. I think I will definately go for it and just use the stock bulbs for the time being.

I hadn't even thought of going with the 06 sports bumper. Do you think this is a better look than the 03-04 with the OEM chin spoiler?

Seriously, thanks for this advice. I do think I will go with the 06 sport bumper and the 06 headlights and come out of this ahead of the game--I hope!!

I like the look of the 06 sport bumber and will save the money that I would have spent on the OEM chin spoiler to pay my deductable.

Will my clear corners fit the 06 bumper?

Is there only one bumper style for 06-07 or do I need to be careful and order a specific one?
