how much to get front/rear bumper painted???

I need to get my front and rear bumpers repainted. They are looking a little rough. scratches on the rear and permanent bug damage on the front.

I stopped by one shop and they quoted me $1500. I asked the guy if he could use some KY and at give me a reach-around if he was really planning on a$$-raping me like that.!

any idea of what a realstic paint job on the bumpers should cost?

it'd be cheaper if you can do a couple of things yourself. that is, if possible, take the front/rear bumpers off yourself and take them to the shop (save them the time of taking it off and you the money of having to pay them for this).

depending on how bad the damages (scratches) are, i'd say about 3-400 for each bumper. again, it's hard to say without pics of how deep the scratches are and how many there are, etc.

i was quoted 250 for full repaint of the front bumper due to paint chipping. 1500 sounds excessive but like ahero says, it depends on the condition..

I paid just under $500 for a front bumper repaint, but that was just dropping the car off and them doing all the work.

can you feel the scratches on the rear bumper?

i'd say anywhere from 275-350 (per bumper) sounds about right (depends on your area as well, not sure how steep prices are generally out there).

you should not pay any more then $300. I'm getting my nismo done for $380 but that's bare plastic. You got pain on yours already so all it needs is sanding priming and paint. I'd say don't pay more then $300
