tint problem
tint problem
I went to get my tint redone on only my passenger and driver windows (and quarters) about 2 weeks ago because whoever tinted the car before did a horrible job and there was peeling and fading. i found some problems with them with bubbles and marks and stuff so i got the driver side redone again this week (he didnt want to do the passenger side because there were only a few small bubbles). in reality, they're not normal large bubbles. they're very small circles where it seems like glue was concentrated and dried into something solid. the guy who did it says the film is so fragile that wont little touch on it will cause it. i know the film is easy to mess up but i think what he's saying in reference to my problem is bs. every car that ive seen tinted, including the cars in my house have never had these small circles. when i got the driver side redone i tinted the windshield as well and there are plenty of these bubbles. there are also lines on it that look like the film wasnt handled properly (which must be what he meant). so i definitely want to get the windshield redone but should i get the sides redone as well? do u think he will remove it and give a refund? its under lifetime warranty so i can get it done over and over but im not sure i want to deal with it. hes been doing this for 15 yrs so i didnt expect a problem.
cliffs: got tint redone on sides. found very small circles on them. got only driver redone and did windshield too. still found circles. do i go get redone again or do i get a refund? has lifetime warranty
here's a pic of a little bit of the windshield with the small bubbles/circles. its not a very good pic but its the best i could get. the stuff on the top left of the pic is dust and i am not referring to that. the circles are sort of in the middle of the pic

and heres a pic of the driver window with a circle a little to the right of the center of the pic. best pic i could get of the left. couldnt get a good pic on the passenger window.

After 15 years hes not too great at tinting lol..
make sure the glass is 100% clean after removal of the tint looks like theres still some excess glue? Honestly take it toanother tinter. When retinting the windshield its a PAIN IN THE *** to re-do and take alot of time. IMO look for some one better I do not know what brand of film you use but any brand from johnsonfilm to solarguard is okey.. new films are just about the same quality all around and all offer life time warranties.
After 15 years he should be filing down the tint on your front windows so there isnt a gap between glass edge and tint

i went and asked the guy if he did refunds and he didnt really say anything because most of the cost is labor which i understand. he just wanted to see the problem. then he told me everything was a clean job (according to his standards) and i told him i've never seen a car with these problems. and on top of that, he wont redo the windshield under warranty because its just dust caught in the film which was his fault. he was just constantly feeding me lies. to get the windshield redone again will cost another 30 bucks, but i know it's just gonna come out looking the same way as it does now. he said he'll remove it for free though but that means ill be losing the money i put into it.

Dont have him remove it have another shop remove it the whole reason why he wont re-do the front windshield tint is becuae its a pain in the ***.. He'll probably just rip off the tint and clean it up a bit but not do a 100% job on it.
IMO drop him go find a bettery tint. you can remove the tint yourself PM me and I'll give you some instructions.. You can also make a complaint to suntek and he'll get a call from them.

if he doesnt do a good job removing it will it affect the windshield permanently? cant any extra glue removed later on? i dont plan on getting the whole tint done again until maybe next year.
