Sorry if I missed this but 25 pages now soooo....

do you pop off the black trim piece on the sides of the roof? I'm sure you can just push vinyl down into the seam and cut BUT seems like covering edges with trim pieces would be the best. I just hate to take a flathead and start prying without knowing if I can get it back on.
