HELP Passenger Seat Broken

I searched the forum for a thread on this but I didn't find any on it or I missed it. The problem is my passenger seat will move back and forth (away and towards the dash board) but wont recline up but the seat with recline back where its not stuck like that. It had this problem when I bought but told the previous owner to fix it and he did. Now its doing it again, can someone help me out or point be into the right direction? I hope its an easy fix

It sounds a little like there's dirt built up in the actual switch. It's possible that if you pop the switches out and clean the connections, they will work again.

Would that require me taking the seat apart? Told the GF don't move the seat because its done it before, and what does she do.... move it......

From what I remember, you SHOULD be able to get at it by loosening the bolts that hold the seat down, disconnecting the harness, and popping it out, but don't quote me on that.

Mine had been broken for over a year. And the worst part was the seat was laying down I had looked into replacing the whole seat and getting it fixed at the dealership but the prices were crazy expensive. The switch only cost me $25 it was used and was not black like my interior but I found out I could just replace the switch and put my black buttons on it. So it worked out perfectly 😄

Yeah mine is all the day done also. Im thinking of leaving it for another week or 2 to teach the GF not to move things around after telling her dont touch it. Where did you pick up the motor at? Could I pick up one from a auto part store?

Lol yeah mine is fixed but I don't tell anyone so they don't touch it. I got mine from the marketplace you might check in there if not maybe a junk yard. An auto parts store would not have it the only place would be the dealership unfortunatly I have no idea how much it would be from there.
