06-07 Sports Front Bumper on Ebay

I was set on ordering an OEM painted chin spoiler/front lip for my 04 coupe for $325 on everythingg35.com when I saw this ebay add for the newer style front bumper that is painted and shipped for $600:

I am pretty cautious about ordering a bumper on ebay because of possible quality issues, however if this is really OEM and well-painted it seems like good deal for a brand new bumper. My bumper has some rock chips and wear so I would love to have a brand new clean look, but just wanted to see what you guys thought. Th ebay seller has a 99.9% rating so I am thinking about ordering one. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get this bumper at a local dealer or on a website and hav it painted, because I imagine it would run closer to 1K.

The bumper itself is only ~$300 unpainted. There is no guarantee of a paint match when ordering from ebay, and after having my spoiler painted by a shop, i found out there are 20+ variations in diamond graphite, so getting a perfect match without having a piece of the car to match it to is pretty much impossible

well skepticism and all that aside, the guy has a 99.9 percent positive feedback, and on top of that he says this is OEM stuff.. as in he somehow got it from a dealership or Infiniti somehow... dunno... theres a lot of guys selling crap stuff on Ebay but this guy doesnt seem like hes one of them, but then again.. you never know because it IS ebay

getting it painted and installed probably around $400, and thats considered a generous price...

interesting

I did not know the bumper was only $300. Is that at any dealer or only for members from a site sponsor? I am thinking that if I can get the bumper locally for $300 and paint and install it for around $400 I am not even saving anything with this ebay deal. How much does the average body shop charge for this type of job? Thanks for all the help by thw way.

But that picture is the same on all of his adds for all of the g35 bumpers he sells. I was turned off by that apparent carelessness but his near perfect rating and the fact that he sells hundreds of different painted body parts makes me think about at least making an offer of maybe $500 shipped.

Thanks for the advice

Well after talking to a very helpful customer service lady for the ebay store, I decided to order the painted front bumper for $554 shipped. My biggest concern was with the seemingly everchanging VW2 (diamond graphite) paint matching with the rest of my car. However, I am sending them a paint sample tommorow and their technicians are going to match the paint as close as possible so I am hoping for the best. I am planning on shipping them the small and removable piece of bumper that covers the tow package in the front. Does this seem like the best/most practical paint sample to ship?
