Every time I back out or go over a large speed bump, my roof makes a loud popping noise. Is this a known problem? What's the fix?

Yea i have the same problem and I have a sunroof. What is causing this annoying popping noise?

Fix is a front strut bar (Scott's Relentless Strut Bar) will fix the issue lol

(no really) its a problem with the coupes especially if you have some suspension mods.. when the chassie flexs it'll cause the roof (between sunroof and front windshield) to make a poping noise.. lol I've had two coupes 05-06 and they both did this.. the 05 stopped when I put ont he strut bar.. the 06 stopped as well when i barrowed a strut bar..

hahhaha yeh does it on my car too. Its like as if you had a softball in your trunk that wasn't secured and you took a hard turn and it flew against the wall...only you're not turning hard, you're going pretty slowly and there is no softball.

 

Chasis flex as Klumzyee stated is the cause of your roof popping. A strut bar pr even the GT Spec Lateral brace bar will eliminate that problem. I have the same problem when I pull out of my driveway.

 

btw... the rear trunk strut will not cure this problem.. at least the stillen one doesnt
