Paint shop

I know you guys are gonna chop my head off with this post but its not me, its for my friend..

he wants to know if anyone had any experience with Earl Scheib or Maaco or not of those cheap paint shop ??

I know they ain't the greatest but has anyone had good experience with them???

Is your friend going to be doing any of the prep work? If your friend can strip all the necessary parts, mask everthing correctly, and prep the finish, some MAACO's can do an okay job if you don't go with the bare minimum level of paint. If he's going to have them do all the work to get it ready to paint, tell him good luck. IMO, you are better off finding a local guy who paints on the side in his garage who at least knows how to prep the car correctly, I had my last car repainted this way for $1400, and it turned out excellent. Also is he doing a color change or is he simply repainting it the stock color because I seriously doubt they will be able to do the jambs, trunk, engine bay correctly
