Hey, kinda wondering what tint people recomment. IM thinking of going limo tints on all windows except the windshield, i know its not legal on the driver/passenger front windows, but im thinking i can just roll them down when i see a cop?

Alternative would be to do them all at the "legal" tint max for california, im not a huge fan of having different tints on my windows.

 

I think you will find most people do a mix. I have 20% on the back rear 3 and 35% on the two upfront. I think Cali will let you do a 50% legally upfront.

 

I got limo in the back and 35% fronts. Cops don't even look at me as long as I'm not doing something illegal. During the day, the front is still visible, and at night as long as there's some light shining thru the front, its slightly visible. If you want the front darker then I suggest going for 30% and lower. I find lowering the windows somewhat of a nuisance.

 

Most popular I read is:

20% rear
35% rear sides
50% fronts

I did 20 all around except fronts. very happy with it.

 

I like it even. My car is 20% all around which looks great. But... we can have 35% on the fronts here so I would look into at least 50% on the fronts and 35% on the sides and rear.

 

since your in cali id do 35% all around...

 

They told me at the tint shop, that cali doesnt allow any tint on the fronts, they had 5 different common shades, i went with 20% on all four dour windows, and a slighty darker tint on the back window (wasnt limo, but just barely lighter than limo)

I pick up the car at 3pm, will post pics later.

 

Legal max in the front is 70% and as black as you want on any windows after those.

 

I got 35%, it looks nice

Okay, my bro at work took a pic with his Tilt phone, looks OKAY... car is dirty after the rain here, but you can see the tints (except back) looks clean IMO with 20% all around.

 

according to the tint shop (tint masters) in rancho cordova CA, any tint on the front windows is illegal. I think the others are saying you can get away with 35-50, but i say **** it, im a rebel
