Seibon TS hood install

what did you TS owners have to adjust to install the TS hood for fittment?

i had to adjust the latch as well as obviously the hinges...

also did you have to use washers to make sure the screws didnt fall through the hinge holes?

let me know!\

thanks

nope took way more then that but still under an hour....

it all depends what hood u get too and the top secret hood is going to be way better as there quality control seems to be way better then seibon.... there hoods are also like twice as expensive haha

if i were to do it again i would say go with top secret, i pretty much paid the same after the repair and paint.

Also when closing the hood check to make sure the latch isn't touching anything check the paint inside to see if the latch scraped and dremel or adjust the latch. because i found out i didn't crack my hood from closing to hard, it actually touched the latch when it closed so it jammed up.

Me and a friend swapped out the Top Secret hood in about 5min... no work needed.. stock bolts, washers, everything.... Literally, 5 min., even for adjustments.
Not with Seibon. You will need to adjust the latch!

It took me about 5 minutes to figure it out on how to fix it. Mine is easily closed.

I will post a picture tonight when I get a chance.

if i were you i would take out the latch spring..it causes us to have to push down on the hood...after time you WILL start to get cracks in the clear coat and CF...its just an experienced opinion but its your hood!! GL

I had to bend the Latch and my secondary hood catcher doesn't work now... I am pretty disappointed with my seibon hood... Plus my ARC strut bar doesn't fit . Too many complaints for me...
