I have some 06 Projectors... I want to get that brilliant blue 8000K look..
Can i get this by changing just the stock bulbs to some 8000K bulbs or do i have to change the ballast and bulb by gettin and aftermarket H.I.D Kit ?

 

you can change it simply by just buying some new bulbs. since yours are the 06 projectors you will need some d2s bulbs. just make sure whatever k you get is a d2s bulb. the phillips ones are nice. i have PIAA super cobalts myself.

you're gonna lose some output, but whatever makes you happy i guess..

if you're going for the nice color, consider doing a lens swap..

 

You should consider a color mod possibly also....i had mine done and i love the results, plus they are much better than changing the bulbs, but a quick fix would be grab up some 8k bulbs.

 

i wanna do the color mod. who did you guys?

Look at my sig. Ivory did mine. Im in talks with him now to do a clearance strip mod to my lights as well.

 

details on that? do you have any pics of you lights with the LEDs?

 

Sorry Beebo...Missed the thread. Ivory has my lights now. We talked today for quite some time, and i am only going to say that im incredibly excited to get them back! Minor adjustments, but a couple firsts he has done. Also, which pics do you want with the LEDs? The clear corner LEDs with the lights? Ivory has my lights now, so im back to my 03 stock lights. Let me tell you...Going from the color modded projectors, back to my 03's? I feel like i am blind!!!
