Heads up on sunroof problems

My 2003 Sedan is one of the first G35s built, build date: March 2002.
My sunroof has been rattling for a few months. It got so bad I finally took it to the Stealership. They told me all the visible bolts are tight and needed to remove the headliner to see what the problem is. So I say, OK, I can't live with this noise. They called me back and said they couldn't fix it without replacing the track, to the tune of $1800 just for the part. So my old G35 will just have to rattle to it's grave. So sad, since the new 2007/8? I drove today has everything fixed that is wrong with the 2003 G35. Time to think a bout a new one....

it happens.. you gotta R&R the sunroof tray/frame assembly.. its a pretty penny for both labor and parts..

WTF? I swear my friend's mom's FX had the SAME issue and they fixed it under warranty... rattling noise from the sunroof... interesting that it's not covered by warranty for the G's... try another dealership...

Re-read my post. My 2003 G35 Sedan was built March 2002 and has 105,000 miles on her now. Long past warranty.

OH WOW... that royally sucks man... Shizz... I always assume warranty when talking about Gs.. but i guess the old ones are starting to be out of it... Time for an upgrade? (what about trading a roof w/ a salvaged one?)
