HELP - I effed up my paint

I bought a car with these stupid door stopper things on the ends of the doors. So i decided to remove them with a hairdryer and some floss. I heated the area for 30 seconds or so, then proceeded to floss. i was trying and trying then noticed that a small spot beside the stupid door stopper had some effed up paint!! i think i accidentally cut a little bit of my paint by my door with the floss. WTF WTF WTF!!! I am a noob and everyone knows it. BUT how is the paint on this car soo freakin cheap?? my buddy heated his emblems for WAY longer on his integra and took a screwdriver with a tshirt wrapped around it to get his emblems off. I only heated for 30 seconds and this is what happened.. The paint looks messed and a little ripply/small cut in it. the entire affected area is about 1cm long.. really small but it bugs me big time. Im really bummed guys.. Any help, suggestions? I'll take pictures later when i get home.

PLz help.. is this a cheap small fix?

are you sure it wasn't there before? I seriously doubt you ruined the paint with floss and heating for 30 seconds with a hair dryer

Sounds like the sound deadening that the factory paints over. Or the glue crap that the factory puts inbetween the door frame & skin.

i'll take a picture later tonight...i'm at work right now

it's not on my doors panel. its on the side panel right where the door closes. imagine your driver side door and the gap where the door closes and opens. left side is your door. and right side is you back panel i guess. Anyway right on the gap, on the corner where the door locks onto that hook is where the damage is. Sorry, i dont know why it is so hard to explain.

i'm attaching a picture... its not my car but it will show you where it is..
