I take it the op has never put their car in reverse. I guess it's a cool feature but unless you're short like me there is no use for the feature besides to say you have it.

My daughters BMW did that, very cool idea. I've adopted that option by hand
so I don't scrape anything!

Actually after driving several cars with the feature, I've found that it's among one of the most useful "useless" features in luxury cars today. Oh, and I'm over 6'1".
