Send ambulance, tail lights are sick

Just got my car back from the shop (sorry for the dirty car)

Had my body guy do my tail lights after re-shooting my nismo front. He liked them so much he didn't charge me

These are in *direct* sunlight on a bright day. In normal conditions they look just about body color. I'll have to get some night pics, not like you guys haven't seen painted tail lights before, I'm just jazzed about them.

So much better than overlays.

I hate blacked out taillights. Seems to be a fairly popular mod on here, though.

I dont see any difference between the look of overlays and paint. Except you can take off the overlays later.

overlays look weird at times like in direct sunlight and parking under lights in a parking light. they look alot more smoked and alot less black.

I had overlays before, paint is a lot nicer for several reasons.

Believe it or not, these are actually legal. According to local law you have to be able to see tail lights from 50 feet away and brake lights from 200 feet away.... fairly certain that's the rule.

Not like cops around here know what stock tail lights look like on a G anyway

Going to go with a gialla-style grille with the emblem... and *maybe* a light tint on the headlights, but I'd have to do 06 lights first.

Actually quite a bit like sfgr415... I like that look.

Didn't catch it in the thread but was that "Night-Shades" tail light paint? Looks awesome by the way. I think it's a must for black cars.

No sir, that's the real thing, just auto paint. It seems like VHT can get a little dull-looking if you don't do it right. This should be pretty permanent.
