Spoiler Light Connection

I installed an '05 trunk lid with spoiler on my '07 G, the spoiler plug is the same but there is no current going to the plug when I press the brake (tested with voltage meter), is there a specific fuse (read manual and couldn't find anything related to spoiler). The third break light in window works fine, maybe there is another plug that has to be connected some place to make the connection in the trunk live?

For reference, I am talking about the brown plug in the trunk specifically for the spoiler light, all other electronic parts work fine (trunk release and trunk light).

Thanks for the help.

Downloading service manual right now, maybe it will have some help!

I pulled out entire trunk lining and can't find any other harnesses.... I then traced the wire (a light green) all the way back to the glove box, at this point I gave up as it was getting hot and I was getting no where! Calling dealer today, my other thought was that all the wires run down beside the door together, with this I was thinking I could tie the hot wire for the 3rd window light into the hot wire for the spoiler light right there in the door seal...

Calling dealership first, but may try this later!

You can not have both the 3rd brake light and the led brake light in the wing hooked up. You have to disconnect the one in the window.

I did this and still couldn't get it to light up.... a coupe passed me today and had both lighting up, and the coupe I got the trunk lid from had both window and spoiler light lighting up when braking.

took it to dealer and they just tied a wire into window light, ran it to the spoiler and tied it in there... guess they didn't feel like looking for whatever was keeping it from lighting up. But, yes, it works... I forgot, did you still want those letters off the trunk? I can find them and mail them to ya if you pm me your address again.... let me know if you need them!

Thanks again!

when i first put mine back together i wanted to test the lamps to make sure it was working (in my case i needed the interior third brake light to work)...at first it wasnt working so i thought maybe the bulbs died or something...at that point i hadnt reconnected all of the trunk plugs which turned out to be the problem, once i plugged everything where it was supposed to go it worked.

Did you forget to plug in the trunk latch plug before you put it back together? its the other plug located in the trunk lid panel.

check the plugs, that should more than likely be your problem

The Spoiler Electrical Conectio Is In The Trunk Lid Passenger Side. You Will See A Plug Cap Remove Cap & Wire Should Plug Right In.

P.s. Have Also Installed An Auto Dimming W/homelink Rearview Mirror. I Can Instruct Anyone On How To Install In Like 15-20 Minutes.
