Black out door handles !?FREE?! (Sedan)
This has come up plenty of times, so I figured I'd write a DIY for what I did to black out my handles.
I went to a sign shop, asked if they had any extra black, vinyl laying around, or if I could purchase some. They had a strip they gave me for free. They said if they had to cut some off a roll, they wouldn't charge more than a couple dollars anyways.
Vinyl - 4 pieces, 2 inches by 8 inches
Scissors
Utility Knife
Measuring Tape

I went to a sign shop, asked if they had any extra black, shiny vinyl laying around, or if I could purchase some. They had a strip they gave me for free.
Measured and cut out a piece 2 inches by 8 inches

You can see here I'm holding up the piece of vinyl next to the door handle

Apply vinyl to handle, from one side to the other, smoothing out the vinyl so there are no air bubbles

Using the knife, carefully trim the access around the handle.
Here you can see half of it done

Use your fingernail or credit card or anything to press the vinyl the rest of the way around the handle...
Here's the whole handle done

Repeat for all doors.
Here's a before, during and after shot...
(and I just noticed how the flash of the camera makes my taillights looked not tinted on the side
)

All done
