So I just bought a 05 G35 Coupe 6MT w/ Black Interior the whole package (lovin it) and plan on getting a tint job this weekend, what do most G35ers prefer for their Tint % etc...? I definately dont want limo tint... but dark enough where it matches the car, also that people cant see too much inside my car.

also there are different brands of tints? whats good?

I went to Best Image last year, and got 10%. The price was good, but i can't say the quality of the work was awesome, I have small bubbling on the back window around the defogger spots. 10% is pretty dark, kind of a b*tch at night when you're trying to parallel park and can't see the curb in your mirror lol. Go with like 15 or 20, I think you'll be happy. I'm probably retinting my car within the next couple of months. hope this helps.

Just got my windows tinted yesterday 20% all around...

 

5% is what I have on my G. It is the lightest I've had on any car. My old A4 was 5% on top of 10%. My old FX was 5% on top of the stock tint. Only ever had problems in Chicago with it.

I ended up going with 20% on the backs and 35% on fronts... I think it looks pretty good... thanks for the input.

 

I have %20 all around and %35 on front windshield. I couldn't be happier.

 

hmmmm i think im saying the numbers right... 20% is darker that 35% right? if so I have dark in back and light for the fronts... 20%/35%. I need to get some pics posted.

Got 5% on mine.. never have gone any lighter than that on any of my cars.

 

I just did the same, and I love it.

One thing though, the windshield tint seems to be thicker... and on the outside? Bright lights that go through it almost split up into a rainbow too, looks different than the other windows.

But whatever, it's awesome!

 

I did 5% on the sides and rear, then 50% on the front windshield....oh so nice and cool...but then again SFL heat is a bitch...
