I agree that I like the armrest, storage, cup holder part of ours better but the round metal trim and boot in the MT are better.

While you have the shifter trim off, you can easily reverse the manual shifting direction. Kurtis helped me with mine today while doing another super rare ninja mod and the reverse shifting feels so much more natural.

How is the reverse shifting mod done? BTW, does anyone down shift when stopping or do you just let the computer do it? Any way of improving the **** delay? I agree the round metal looks a lot better.

There is a DIY on here somewhere. It is as easy as cutting and reversing 2 wires....I love it!

The shifter in the AT are closer to the ashtray compared with the MT. Therefore, the MT shifter console will not work due to the bigger ashtray design with the stick.

On the side note, if someone is really considering about doing MT swap, I believe GTM says it can range from $6K-8K total now. May go down once parts gets older (ie tranny).

That was already mentioned in the 3rd post but nobody in this thread has that intention

i donno, but its really easy, just pull the clip down on your shifter, then removve that clip and take off the shift ****
Next (if you have one) get a puddy knife(plastic) and slid it unger the aluminum part closest to the arnrest and pull up, it will unclip
Once thats up you have to unplug the lighter and light plugs then you can take that piece off and that's it!

Can anyone post a picture of what's under the center console (the center floor) of a 6mt? I think the flooring is different, so maybe if we compare the 6mt with auto, we can see what we need to modify in order to fit the new console.
