AT - to - MT center console swap?

we wanted to switch out the entire console not just teh shift boot.

why wont ppl listen.

The 05 AT shifter will not line up with the MT shifter hole bc the ashtray on the manual is longer compared to the auto. Therefore, u wont be able to get the MT shifter console on bc the the AT stick will be hitting the ashtray.

this guy did it clean on the 03-04, I dont think the same concept would work with 05+ though.




I remember there used to be a DIY for this too....cant find it now. Basically all you need is the 6mt center console (bottom piece of the 03-04), cut out a bit to accommodate the auto shifter cover, and it'll look like that. Again, I don't think it'll work with the 05+ G's though.

Oh snaps...thats what I want to do but it will be much more difficult on an 05+ since the shifter base isnt already round
