Do you notice any difference when the lights are on as far as brightness or anything?

IMO the most significant advantage to his setup compared to painting the lense is that his set up has zero effect on the output of the light transmitted from his tailights.

During the day not much of a difference.. but at night, I am sure it's much brighter than a painted tail or a tail w/ overlays.

Only thing I can see improved is a better work on the resealing of the lights.. w/o all the messy glue around the trim.

Nonetheless, GOOD WORK!

^ +1..i aggree im still experimenting on the whole reasealing thing, but i beleive i have it down pat now..im using a headlight/taillight silicone to reseal..and yes the effect of the led's in the TL are still effective as if the TL werent painted making there as legal as oem TL's....and the hassel wasnt much..once you do one..is just a matter or repeating the steps

looks very nice. if the lense was clear, then it will look ever better. i have been considering doing this on my g35 sedan for a while, but always have been afraid of messing something up and having to buy another set of new taillights.

i did try doing it on my TSX with success. now i just need to find a new set of black wheels for my acura tsx to match the taillights.

the only thing that's really bothering me, and why i would never do it, is youbhave a light red strip(stock finish) around the entire light now. it looks weird

thats actually part of the lense, its where there isnt any black behind it to make it look darker..the only way of getting around that is to fine some clear lenses, and ive never seen any.

Is this plastic cover painted red, or is there a red plastic film on it?
