Help with HID headlight issue.

04 G sedan. I bought this car used and after awhile I noticed that the pass side headlight was "blinking" going down the road. driver side light was ok. My assumption was the light was going bad. So I took the original 4300k Phillips lights out and put in some 6000k lights from Ebay (because they were only $50). So I drove the car a few miles with the new lights. They looked great nice blue color and still very bright. The blinking problem was gone. THE new problem... When I pull back in the driveway the pass side light just went out. I turned them off and back on and it would come on for a second and then go out. After turning off and on about 6 times it came on and stayed on again. Anyone have any ideas on what my problem could be?

Thanks,

Joe

Sounds like the ballast, which was most likely your original issue.
I had the same issue, light flicker then it would take several attempts for them to ignite.
Eventually they'd only ignite for a few moments and shut off.

So, I bought a used ballast off of the marketplace here and now its already crappin' out
on me, flickering, now its only a matter of time 'til I have to replace it again.

I decided if I'm going to replace it might as well buy another bumper. (since I have to
take it off)
