What Kind of Grill?
My GF got me this for my b-day. I'm almost positive that its a replica (lol, my "first" one)... but not sure which one. I gotta work on fitment a little and also the color doesn't match from whoever had it painted it before me. She bought it used, and I don't know from who or where.
So let me know!

Ionic is coming out with a better fitting replica within the next couple weeks. The authentic fits poorly in that there is a huge gap at the top.
PS - you do not have a replica on your car. Currently, there are no replicas of this grille...until Ionic releases his. And his won't fit poorly.
Authentic pieces don't always fit 100%.
And your first? Isn't that hood a Top Secret replica from Seibon?

So... you guys are saying this is an authentic DS? There's no badging on it... I'd assume there would be if it was real. I thought about wrapping it in CF, but I'll probably just deal with it as is for awhile until I can find a shop to either paint it or wrap it.
I realize not all authentic parts fit 100%, but when I buy I still like to support the guys with the original ideas. As far as the hood goes, getting a true Top Secret hood was going to be too large of a PITA, especially in shipping. A friend got one and it wasn't the best quality - but Seibon is far from perfect also. As a side note... I only have issues with replicas when they copy the design EXACTLY, Seibon and TS differ in how large the scoops are and the angles they have. So the person who has studied both can tell a TS hood from Seibon... therefore, Seibon is not a true replica of the TS...

I just thought it was funny that since it fits poorly your first thought was that it's a replica.
So if EricIsKlumzyee adds c/f to his KS replica rear, it's not a true replica since the authentic doesn't come in c/f? Or if he deletes the center grille supports it's not a true replica since the authentics don't come that way?

I first thought it was a replica because I didn't think my GF would spend more then $100 for something on the car- not because of fitment.

Oh sorry 4DGS, the wheels are Ro_Ja R25's. Pretty light for the size!
I guess since she probably put down some money for this grill I should get her something for Valentines now... ha
