Cool anybody messing with a boser hood? vol permanent eyelids

interested in being one of the first with a boser hood,

not to fond of the look of eyelids where they meet the hood

you think it would be possible?? because i know how the headlights kind of stuck out up top

but it s def worth getting an opinion

like this btw these are quick chops

hopefully the og owners of these pics dont trip

but i think these look waaay to mean just like bats m35 overlays

but basically connected to the hood with metal or w/e they do

word to audi and vw's

I love these hoods on Audis... I wouldn't mind having one for my sedan. I'm not a big fan of eyelids either... they look too ricey.

im pretty sure just how the vw's go since my cousins all have boser hoods on theirs

is that they just like cut out a a design of how you want the hood to be extended

then mask it on top of the headlight to form

but just leaving enough space so the hood doesnt actually hit the headlight itself,

then attach the metal and weld it

then paint the hood and wala

i have to see it in real life.. like how much gap there is to not cause hitting the headlights... but it looks good and that was also my only gripe about getting eyelids, didnt look quite right... DO IT! =]

Just don't attempt molding a plastic extension to your metal hood. I tried that first on the my car that's pictured, and over a six month period i had to have a shop remold it three times. I finally gave in, ripped it off and started fresh with a metal extension. Haven't had any problems since i welded it on. Also, when you add the extension, make sure to tilt your headlights in slightly. it keeps stress off the lights from the overhanging hood.

I have had a similar idea about this except not about the hood, rather the bumper, allowing a seemingly changed shaped on the headlight.

i love the look, i've thought about doing this as well but most likely the edges of the fenders will have to be raised and blended for it to line up correctly

I want that bad for my car. I've always wanted eye lids but I don't like the gap they leave!

I wish somebody would make a vented CF hood with these eye lids. Looks sooooo good.

Thumbs up

That looks really good, just like many peeps here, im not too keen on the flimzy eye lids that i see on G's, the absence of smooth continuous lines from lid to hood and fender always turns me off. This hood/lid combo is really nice looking, and i would deff get it if was available. Please keep us all posted if anyone discovers one in future. B*tchin hood.
