Question about front bumper

Hi all!

I'm making new bumper for G35 2005. I want to make smth like on the attached picture1. But, when I've removed original bumper it seems that there is some kind of foam plastic defense (red squares on picture2).

So I was wondering - many of non-stock bupmers have big "spaces" right on tis defense. It means, that this "defense" was removed, right? Is that ok? Or maybe they put some other "defense" - which is shaped to fit new bumper?

Please, share your's experiense with this stuff!

Ok i am not an expert but:

I think the large foam beam on top that runs the width of the car is important and most bumpers still use it,

but all the stuff down below in red squares is not that critical.

By the way - has any one more pictures of the car from the picture1? From the other point of view. Becouse it is quite difficult to create smth similar just with one picture...

That picture is 100% photoshopped, so no. Its copy and paste from a 911 so you can probably go try to find a 911 bumper and copy and paste it on to a Fiberglass G35 Bumper (lets say NISMO) and then use that as a plug to make a mold for your final piece.

You can remove all the foam you want from under there just keep in mind that if you DO NOT have the foam behind the bumper.. when you hit something expect some damages to that crash beam

So, I finaly did it. New bumper is not finished yet - I just take is from the former. The idea was to keep the stock bumper. So, first of all I need a former, based on original bumper.

Here are some pics of the process. First three - making a former.

The former was a little bit dammaged. So I need to fix it. Stock bumper was not damaged.

Now it was the most intresing part. I was thinking about new design. The prblem was, that I'd like to skip several steps and modify the former, so that new bumper takes desired design. All starts from a maket...
