good - keeps the interior cooler in the sun, looks awesome

bad - tint laws prohibit certain levels of tint so the pigs might hassle you even if it's legal, and the laws vary by state so if you move you may have to pay to get your tint ripped out and redone. Ex: get 35% front and 20% rear in Texas, then move to North Carolina where 20% rear is illegal.

Pros:

Keeps interiors away from sun, heat.

Privacy

Aesthetics (depending on the car, only certain cars with tinted windows look good in my opinion. Others look either too tacky, or it makes the car look worse (integra, civic, etc..) Basically, if the car is new and clean, it will look good. If not, it looks worse than it is.

Cons:

Cop trouble

Poor night vision

The only con to tint is getting noticed by police.

Another pro is you dont have the damn sun beating in on you on a sunny day. **** gives me a headache if im in it too long.

Hate driving the 08 on a sunny day. No tint=FTL

pro looks good. if you have a black interior then 35% would look pretty good and it'll look darker cause of the interior) and be less hassle if you do get pulled over (rare in houston).

can't say that visibility is an issue unless you have like 5% or something.

I have 20% all around and love it, havent had any problems yet

I have nowhere near 5% and have difficulty driving at night sometimes, especially in the rain.

Con's - Sometime the tint peals and you have to have it redone. Its a bitch to clean the adhesive off the rear window if you ever have to remove or redo the tint.

Pro's - Looks great!

sometimes tinting the rear with 5% will get you pulled over because the cop thinks your fronts are the same (california: no tints for front sides or windshield, i had 50% on front sides) and then he'll find another excuse to ticket you when he finds out otherwise.

keeps the interior much much cooler in the blazing cali sun. and yeah privacy is kept with dark tints.

I've been driving with 5% tint for the last 6 years. Haven't gotten a ticket yet.
