So I’m getting a g35 coupe soon and really like the tail lights of the 03-05 models better than the 06-07, but can’t find any an 03-05 g with a decent milage. Is it possible to change the tail lights of an 06-07 to the ones that come on the 03-05s? My question is are the two different kinds of tail lights the same size, and are the 03-05 tail lights available to buy?

 

In short, yes, they are interchangeable. 06-07 fits 03-05, vice versa. I just changed to 06 tails, sold my 05 driver to another member here. Still have the passenger side if you're interested and can find a driver side.

I have '03 tails with only 17,000 miles on them... lmk.

And yes, as chadeguchi said they are plug-n-play interchangeable. It's just with the 03-05 you won't have a trunk button anymore.

You can get them new from infiniti dealerships. If you want the best price, try Riverside Infiniti. You will be able to get them for around $410 or so for the pair I think.
