What is the oil pan protector cover called (splash guard?) and where can I buy one?

Hi,

The plastic piece that goes under the engine on my 2005 G35C got chewed up and I need to buy a new one. Any idea what the proper term for it is and where I can buy one?

I found one on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-08...Q5fAccessories) but it happens to be for a 2008 G35. Does anyone know if it would fit my car?

Thanks in advance

Engine Undercover. They're pricey from the dealer.

I did see someone post a link to a metal version a few years back, but I think it went for ~$600.

Cool. Thanks everyone. So it's called either a skid plate or an engine undercover?

Will check out the wrecking yard but I haven't seen a yard that has G35's in it.

^^that looks like it might be significantly lower than the oem cover. Does it scratch? I hate taking off the oem one when doing oil changes and its all bent up and out of shape. This might be a good alternative. Also, where exactly is your car sitting on stands? I'm used to the side jack stand points.

it sits the same height of the OEM skid plate. My jack points cant be used on my car because I have aftermarket side skirts so I have to put jacks in the middle of the car where the Steering joints mount...there is a solid metal piece that is basically the whole front frame that connects the right side to the left side that I put the jacks on.
