Air leak on drivers side window

Does anyone else have an air leak on either of their windows on their coupe? I have one on my drivers side that drives me nuts because it is pretty noisy when drivng down the interstate. I am wondering what is the easiest way to fix this? Looking for suggestions that I could do on my own without shelling out a bunch of cash to the dealership. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

i too have the same problem, but in turn have swapped to doors foir CF doors. imo the solution would be to take apart inner door pannel and adjust the height of the window..its a fairly easy proccess

What are CF doors? Also, wont adjusting the height cause a problem when shutting the door because of how the window goes down a little bit to fit underneath that lip?

carbon fiber doors(cf doors)..the g coupes create an air tight lock when the door is sealed(when you close your door with the window up,it goes up even further to create the air lock) your weather strip around the window could be failing..not really sure w/o seeing it in person..if your cars under warranty id bring it to infiniti...if not check your seal around the window

try closing your door with window up and the car off..if the window goes up,then its not the window height(unless youve tinkered with it b4)..its mostlikely your seal/weather strip..im sure infiniti has them in retail..as for the install its fairly easy

I have this same problem and it's terribly annoying... What is the best solution besides ripping the door apart? Replacing the weather stripping?

Anyone have this issue and fix it easily?

i believe the stripping is held in place by small clips on the backside of it..mine were little blue plastic tabs..instead of removing the tabs themselves from the door, remove the rubber seal from the tabs, its much easier and you wont have to worry about replacing tabs..its self explainitory once you begin doing it.. if you need any help, feel free to shoot me a pm

I agree it is very annoying!! Another thing I though of is maybe trying to add a little bit of foam or something to the existing weatherstripping by gluing it. Not sure if it will work or not but I will let you know if it does. I might try and work on it this weekend

Irock, I appreciate your help. I'm going to go to the stealership today to pick up the stripping. If I have any issues I'll definitely be shooting you a PM.

dirty, I've tried that already. Does not work at all. I even tried adding some foam/rubber behind the existing weather strip and it just makes the whistle worse...

I went to the stealership a while back and they told me the weather stripping was $121 and with labor the total was going to be $225! So, I tried to macguyver (sp?) it doing all those things with other crap and it just all made the situation worse. Let me know if you come up with any other fix.

Like I said before I'll be going to buy the part from the stealer and just replacing the whole thing unless there are any other remedies...
