I have a chip in my windshield. Probably about 1 cm in length, cresant moon shape. I've heard about fillers that you can fill the crack with. Any suggestions on how to fix this?? DO the fillers work? Thanks and have a great weekend!

 

To answer your question...Yes it works!

The resin that gets pumped into the stone chip, will further prevent your w/s from cracking, however you will see a tiny blemish in the w/s after it is done.

When ever I do a repair at work I always tell the customer this before hand and just so you know this is not 100% effective also, their is a slight chance the w/s will crack during the repair process.

Thanks. I checked a few companies here in so cal and it is about $40-$50. My insurance will not cover the expense, so it is out of my pocket. Oh well...
