i'm confused, and sorry if this has already been posted; i couldn't find the search on this topic. anyways, I ordered the PIAA blue led lights to install in the clearance and corner lights. i see people do it all the time, just as long as the blue lights don't blink. so, i assume it's okay to do it. but recently, my friend got a ticket for his blue lights because it was illegal (in florida). so, what's the deal? am i just gonna have to hope that the cop i drive by doesn't give a crap or is this really illegal? btw, i live in florida. your input would be appreciated!

 

i believe anywhere in the US, orange and clear in the front, and orange, clear (reverse light), or red in the back. no exceptions! unless offroad usage

It depends on the state you're in. Some states like FL won't allow you to have any other color in the front other than amber but other states allow different colors in your headlamp except for your turn signal so clearence lights are ok. You should check with your DMV.

I know in New Jersey, they will pull you over and either issue a fix it ticket or summons, depending on the policemans' mood.....
blue lights in new jersey are a definite no no.....
I went with Piaa Extreme whites, and no problems in the last 8 months......

depends on cops.... just like some cops dont care if u are going 10mph over adn some will pull you over if u are going 2mph over the speedlimit. Its illegal and they can write u a ticket for it.... now whether the cops will really care that much or not..... thats a different matter. I dont have a front license plate... thats illegal... ive passed many cops tho and havent been pulled over yet... but i got a speeding ticket and the cop decided that he wanted to give me a ticket for my plates too... just depeneds on the person and the day

I've had mine for over a year. One ticket about six months ago. This was at 3am with me being the only car on the road driving a steady 15mph past a cop. What else does he have to do at that time. Bastard.

At least in California any car with red or blue light is illegal if they are not governement/state/police or emergency vehicles.
