G35 Rear Diffuser

Has anyone installed the Kakumei rear diffuser from ebay?
Haven't been able to find too much info on this diffuser.
Apparently it is supposed to be thinner than the Nismo.

I've had the Nismo in the past and didn't like the fitment.
It seemed a little bulky to me and didn't line up the way I would have preferred.
I've checked a bunch of the feedback on ebay and it's all good.

Just wanted to get some fellow Driver oppinions.

The RAVSPEC version is significantly better. It is thicker FG and has a better gelcoat. I have both in my possession. The Kakumei arrived with several cracks, and numerous pinholes and surface defects that would require significant prep work to get it ready for paint. I did not check fitment because of these issues. The seller did refund me a portion of the price when I informed them of the cracks and provided pics

i've had the ebay version and it was flawless. fitment was right on. satin black paint at a body shop was $50. still looks good 'til this day (over 2 years, sold it to a good friend).

thicker isn't always better. if you've got an exhaust like HKS or Fujitsubo, then you're likely to have rubbing issues with the thicker version. the ebay one doesn't rub on my friend's fuji exhaust.

Are you saying that yours didn't have any pinholes or surface flaws? I am very meticulous with paint prep, these defects are not necessarily obvious to the average person.

This would be interesting to see if Calvin's had a flawless finish.
I like the untouched matte black finish the nismo comes in, looks very clean.

Calvin did the ebay version have a good blemish free finish?
Good enough where you could just install without paint?
BTW I think I might prefer the thinner diffuser.

The kakumei has a white finish, you have to paint it regardless. The RAVSPEC comes with a black finish, but I still recommend painting it before install

Actually it reads that they offer it both in white and matte black.
May be something new.

Yup, comes in matte black, too.

That's exactly what I'm saying. I made sure of it before I bought it because I wanted minimal prep work (they are local to me so I picked it up from their warehouse). My body shop charged $50 to prime/paint it satin/matte black.

I have the kakumei. It's not flimsy by no means, and it was very thick. It did require a significant amount of prep work though. Maybe the earlier versions were better... Spent hours sanding, filling in the pinholes, etc. Also had to dremel part of it behind the license plate to make it fit more flush. If I were to get it again, I'd probably go for something higher quality.

Anyone know if the BlackTop Aero rear diffuser fits any better than the Nismo.
It always seems that the top of most rear diffusers don't follow the curvature of the line of the rear bumper when it starts the downward turn.
If that makes any sense.
