Re: LED OR WEDGE BULBS
SBL just came out with some frigging unbelievably bright LED bulbs. I am going to order a pair and report back on those. Right now I have the hex-bulb LED system which is brighter than the PIAA LED or PIAA Platinum bulbs. (which is brighter than the PIAA Extreme White) I also tapped the clearance lamp with a set of PIAA LED accent lamp in the lower grill. Combine the 10LED I used to replace that measly 5W bulb and I am still saving power.

See, the problem is that you are running 8000k HIDs. No one can really help you on that, since you are walking alone. How much bluer are they? You would need something bluer than what extreme white wedge bulbs can provide. If you had 6000k, I'd recommend PIAA white/white LED for the clearance and Rasecreation white nightstar LED for the clearance. Maybe they will also work for 8000k? Again, without having seen 8000k in person, i would also suggest Piaa White/Blue LED for the clearance, and use white nailpolish to coat the blue LED, so it will not be as intense and reduce the hotspot colorshift.
I did the exact opposite, since I wanted more blue. I blacked out the white LED from that bulb to give me a uniform Light blue throughout the entire strip.

Afro... why in the world would you get blue LED's and then use nail polish to coat it? The PIAA LED's are dim enough as they are. The PIAA bulb only has 2 LED's right?

Umm... yeah, they are pretty dim:

These are pics of my Blue/White LED bulbs, with the white LED coated black. Keep in mind, you aren't completely blacking out the LED. You are bringing down the intensity of it. Otherwise you will have a drastic change in color from white to blue in the strip. Softening the output of the white LED, provides a uniform color down the strip and it also lightens up the final blue output. Despite the pics, the light blue output is uniform throughout the strip. The light source always causes flaring with a camera.
That's why if you want more of a white look from the BLUE/WHITE led bulb, a thin coat of white nail polish on the BLUE LED, might match 8000k... keyword: Might. I don't want to be held responsible if you waste money on these bulbs and it doesn't turn out like you want.

Re: LED OR WEDGE BULBS
I don,t understand about nail polish
I think the the white leds match close to the 8000k.(sides/clearance)....... blue leds are too blue ,8000k are like white/lightblue
in that t range Looks like bmw 760 series headlights.

Whatever Afr0, I have actually had the PIAA Extreme compared side by side with my LED's, and the LED's are definitely brighter.

Dude, weren't you the one saying how dim the LEDs were? Which is why I quoted you on that statement earlier?
