3rd brake light conversion?? any 1 done it??

ok so i've seen posts by honda 8882 that did a led set up but its not a technical conversion?? get my drift? for all the g owners with spoilers u'll notice our 3rd light is on our spoiler. but i wanted to strip my spoiler and add a 3rd tail light inside my car but actually do a converter i dont mind buying the parts which i have a link down here. So if u had a spoiler g35 and stripped it have u done a conversion or addition to add the 3rd tail light. if so how much did it cost and how did u do it??

I'm not following what it is you want to do. Do you want to shave (strip is I think the wrong choice of word) the 3rd brake light in the spoiler and then just have the stock 3rd brake light in the window like it does on spoiler-less cars? Easiest way to do that would be to either shave and repaint the stock spoiler and install the OEM 3rd brake light or just buy an aftermarket OEM-style spoiler that doesnt have the 3rd brake light and then install the interior mounted 3rd brake light.

You can only have one of the brake lights active, unless you splice them to run together. You just simply unplug the spoiler light (located under the trunk lid panel) and plug in the OEM 3rd brake light housing on the rear interior deck lid. The hard part is carefully removing all of the interior panels to get to the rear deck lid panel, which you should replace as well instead of cutting some sloppy hole in yours.

Your post is confusing.

Just buy the rear deck assembly and wire it up to your brake light.

I forgot about that. so i have the inside and spoiler. Ill see how it was done when i get home today.

It is pretty easy. Just remove the top of the trunk, find the brake wires and splice off of them.

bump...

I believe the OP wants to go wingless... that will leave him without a 3rd brakelight... what are his options.. I'm planning to do the same..
