CF Carbon Fiber wrapping anyone?
I'm trying to see if there's any interest in carbon fiber fabric by the yard. There is a big thread over on my350z about carbon wrapping the interior and or exterior parts with this fabric. People are paying from 30-35 dollars per yard for a lower quality cf fabric than mine. Mine are stronger than the typical fiber used low cost woven materials that are generally available. It has a tensile strength of just over 700,000 psi, compared to about 525,000 for T300 and AS4. Its tensile modulus is also slightly higher than those fibers. The fabric is 54 inch width 11.2 oz/yd^2 wt. It is warp knit +/- 45 degree bias, manufactured by a german company. BTW, I don't think my material is for sale to the public.
It is perfect for wrapping interior stuff. Some people even have had success with outside stuff. Is there any interest in something like this? If I knew it was this popular, I would have started selling awhile back lol.
How about $35 per yard? I would ask $40 since the quality is higher, but I don't think people would pay that much? Same price as the lower quality ones. Located in socal to pick up but I can ship as well! Just trying to get a feeler for these.

1) You will need to become a Sponsor to start selling this stuff.

2) Pictures would be helpful.

it's not the carbon fibre that wears down... it's the resin you have to be worried about. Get a quality resin and clear coat and you should be good
