My first mod

I picked up my '03 coupe 6 about a month ago and finally got time to play with the interior. I don't want to go crazy, just make it a little nicer.

I pulled the steering wheel, remolded and covered it in leather/suede with grey accent stitching to match the silver body. I also added a Porsche 996 shifter and covered it in the same leather/suede. This shifter is the best feeling I have ever used so I like to stick with it.

I got help with pulling and installing the parts from a fellow G member. Gotta thank him for the extra elbow grease.

EDIT: Updated pics with a better camera.

wow I really like that shifter. Been wanting to replace my OEM one but still wanted an OEM-look.. that 996 one really fits I think.

dumb question but i've never driven a porsche.. is the shift pattern engraved onto the top of the **** the same as our G's? with R being down and to the right?

The 996 runs a 6, but R is up and to the left. It would be easy to fill the engravings and respray the silver and clear so that it was smooth, I just didn't care enough to do it.
